[ It's taken weeks of consideration, weeks of constant pulling at the darkness in her heart that she dares call her abilities to come to this point, but it's here. It's time. She's done waiting for an opening to strike back, done waiting for the next round of hurt, done waiting for the next round of (occasionally) innocent people to be destroyed by the hands of gods.
There is something she can do, and she has to do it, no matter the consequences. ]
Cecily... [ How does she even start? How does she explain to one of her only friends that she's about to open up something potentially dangerous, and deadly to them all? All for the sake of fighting back, of not giving in.
All for the sake of selfishness. ] I'm about to do something, and... I want you to know before it happens, to be prepared.
I'm [ she hasn't been all right in a very, very long time ] all right, I promise. I'm just... I'm just done with all of this. [ She's done. There is no more waiting, no hoping for something to happen that will give them the advantage. She's going to force an advantage. ]
I'm taking the only action I know how, and it... [ it will probably ruin everything, but when she might be able to do something? to change things? that's a risk she has to take, then.] You just need to stay safe, okay? I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if something happened to you or Cullen... so you have to try and stay inside, especially if you see fog, or the world starts to... change.
So am I, but-- [ "But I wouldn't do anything reckless." Except, that isn't exactly true, and the Inquisitor roughly swallows her words, expression (unseen by Sharon) anxious. ]
"If the world starts to..." [ She trails off, breathless. ] Please, let me help you. I won't stop you, but you shouldn't be alone in this.
You don't get it: my powers aren't stable, and you could get hurt, or even killed just by being near me! [ and the emotional state she's in means she's even more unstable than before. she could try and protect her friend, but the world does not listen to her. she just breathes it to life. if it ever listens, it's because she's in danger; no one else matters there.
Lisa, the nurse from home, is living proof that she hurts even those that are there to help. ]
I said the same thing, but you wouldn't listen, either. [ She reminds the other woman, heaving a fond, mostly exasperated sigh. ] I've been in worse danger, I guarantee. Sharon, I won't leave you. What I can do, I'll do. I promise.
[ Whether she wants that aid or not. In fact, at the moment, Cecily is packing up to run out and find her. ]
We can be unstable together. [ Cecily mutters. ] Better together.
[ How is it she lucked upon someone like Cecily? The other woman has been far too good to her, far too kind—more of a friend than she's ever had before in her whole life. She wouldn't know what to do with herself if something happened to her, let alone because of her.
It's clear Cecily has made up her mind, however, far too stubborn for her own good (a trait they seem to share). There's nothing she could say that could possibly dissuade her, and Sharon knows that. ]
You're being dumb. [ But her tone seems to indicate that she's not going to further try and dissuade her friend. ] ...But I appreciate it.
[ Because Sharon, too, is being a complete and absolute reckless idiot and driving the mini-van that's Hadriel right off a cliff. ] I can't promise there will be anything for you to do, except... maybe protect people. This power tends to take on a life of it's own, so... [ It will be dangerous, and not just for her, or Cecily, but perhaps for everyone. ]
I usually am. Ask anyone. [ Or, just Cullen, right now, with the others gone. There's a tired smile to her voice, though, despite... everything. ] And you're welcome. You know I would help no matter what you said.
[ Sharon has to know that by now, right? ]
I can protect people, then. [ She stresses. ] I've got some experience with that. With the powers... well, we can take it one day at a time. No matter what, we'll come out the other side of this. Maybe your action will be the one that saves all our lives.
[ She laughs. The sound is surprisingly bitter. It would be nice to be the one to get everyone out, to find a way to take out the gods and take their fates into their own hands once again, but she has her doubts. Her power may very well make everything worse. ]
Or the one that ends them all. [ but, at this point, risks must be taken. ]
[ With everything that's happened, with what she's seen and experienced thus far in Hadriel, Cecily doubts this will be the moment that saves or kills them. Still, Sharon seems sure that this will be some kind of dire, so the Inquisitor merely listens, frowning, then admitting a sigh. ]
I'll do what I can. [ She reconfirms. ] Please be safe. As much as you can.
Don't worry, I will be. [ It's a promise, but given what she's about to do, her safety will be relying upon abilities she's barely tested. ]
And you, too. [ and, like that, she ends the feed. Cecily is prepared—or, as prepared as she can be given her lack of knowledge. Honestly, that's one of the only things that matters. ]

Sharon-- What? [ No, hang on-- ] What are you about to do? You can't just say that and run off!
[ Even though it's absolutely something Cecily herself might (would) do....... ]
Are you all right? What can I do?
